Originally named “Duck Shit Fragrance,” it was grown in “Duck Shit Soil” (actually yellow soil, with dark green tea leaves resembling those of *Schefflera heptaphylla*). Locals praised its strong aroma and excellent flavor, asking what famous variety it was and what its aroma type was. Fearing the tea would be stolen, the tea farmer named it “Duck Shit Fragrance.”

Baihao Yinzhen (Silver Needle White Tea) is extremely rare and precious. It takes tens of thousands of tea buds to produce just one pound of finished tea. It has the highest amino acid content among teas and is believed to have benefits such as improving mood, lowering blood pressure, enhancing learning and memory, and providing antioxidant and beautifying effects. Therefore, it is considered a treasure among white teas.

In 2005, two guests from Beijing in Tongmu Village suggested using buds to make the highest grade of Lapsang Souchong black tea. That same year, it was first developed and produced by Jiang Yuanxun, Chairman of Fujian Wuyishan Zhengshan Tea Industry, and his team of tea masters. Upon its release, it became widely popular and a representative of high-end black tea in the market.
